Skye Climate Action - Climate Change: the science and COP26

06 October 2021

Starts: 19:30
Ends: 21:00

Wednesday 6 October     7.30 - 9.00        online

We are delighted to have Julian Paren and Katie Andrews to speak to us.  Julian is a former climate scientist, and current Convenor of Transition Black Isle.  He will explain the scientific basis of climate change (in understandable language) taking into account the latest IPCC report from August this year . Katie is Climate Coordinator at The Highland Council, and will give an overview of COP26 and local implications.  There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

We are part of the rapidly expanding worldwide Transition Towns movement. The Black Isle is a peninsula of about 100 sq miles ENE of Inverness in Scotland, UK.
